TERMS OF USE

Terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of the TravelWise website (“TravelWise”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What TravelWise is

TravelWise is a free planning tool. It estimates what a trip might cost at a destination and suggests places that may fit a budget. It doesn’t sell travel, take bookings or payments, or act as a travel agent.

Estimates are approximate

You’re responsible for your own travel decisions. We aren’t liable for costs, losses or problems that arise from relying on an estimate or on information shown on the site.

Information from others

Place listings come from OpenStreetMap via Geoapify, city data from GeoNames, price levels from the World Bank and exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API. We show this information as provided and can’t guarantee it’s complete, accurate or current. Links to other websites (such as Booking.com, Google Maps or Viator) are for convenience; we don’t control those sites, and their own terms and policies apply.

Advertising

TravelWise is supported by ads from Google AdSense. Ads are provided by Google and its partners; we don’t endorse the products or services advertised. Please don’t click ads you’re not genuinely interested in, and never click ads on our behalf. See our privacy policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalised ads.

Acceptable use

Please use TravelWise for its intended purpose. Don’t try to disrupt the site, access it with automated tools in a way that overloads it, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.

Our content

The text, design and estimates on TravelWise are ours unless credited to someone else. You’re welcome to share links to any page and to use your own trip results for personal planning.

No warranty

TravelWise is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
